“Recognizing your worth and protecting your physical and energetic space is a love language.”

This week, we’ve been diving into all things self-defense and self-protection. It is my firm belief that learning these skills is one of the greatest acts of self-love and self-worth you can give yourself in this lifetime.

Many of us spend a tremendous amount of time cultivating our lives…career, relationships, personal growth…but often there’s a wide open gap when it comes to protecting our personal space and autonomy.

Self-protection isn’t just about punching or kicking. In fact, it truly begins here, with reflection. I’ve put together some questions for you to consider if this is calling to you. These questions help you see how your self-worth is showing up in your life and where you might strengthen your boundaries and awareness.

Please be gentle with yourself when answering these questions…this is not to pass judgement on ourselves…it’s only to help you identify where you might want to focus on strengthening your boundaries. Most of us were not taught healthy boundaries or have no good models of it. This is in large part why I share these messages. My hope is that through these offerings you will glean the insight you need for cultivating your sacred space and your warrior spirit.

In addition, two books I highly recommend adding to your reading list are:

  • The Gift of Fear by Gavin DeBecker

  • Attached by Amir Levine

Pass these along to anyone in your life who may benefit. May you show yourself the utmost love and care by starting right here. And, as always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
